Significant cost reduction for dual SIM broadband system

Buzz Marine has introduced a new version of its dual SIM HubbaX4 Duo mobile broadband system specifically engineered and designed for the marine environment. The new HubbaX4 Duo is offered at a significant price saving over its more complex sister product, while still providing the same technically advanced antenna which ensures robust connectivity up to 15 miles offshore.

Steve Smith, Managing Director of Buzz Marine, commented: “By introducing new engineering we have been able to produce this new standard duo system to satisfy the demand for the dual SIM facility on smaller vessels. The new design has allowed us to price the system at just £1295 ex-VAT (or approximately €1780), which makes it the most competitive of its type on the market. We have achieved this without losing our products’ well-known reputation for providing powerful broadband connectivity at sea.”

The new HubbaX4 Duo operates on 2G, 3G and 4G networks, allowing the user to pass seamlessly from one service provider area to another, or country to country, without needing to change the SIM card. It is an ideal solution for cruising or charter yachts and commercial vessels and ferries.

The marine grade, mini-antenna dome, installed above deck level, has been designed with multiple internal antennas that provide many times the connection strength of a standard mobile phone or modem, keeping the vessel in touch up to 15 miles, and in some cases 20 miles, offshore dependant on area.

The HubbaX4 Duo can also operate in conjunction with any existing VSAT installation by failing over to the vessel’s satellite data connection when the vessel moves out of the range of onshore mobile base stations.

The single SIM HubbaX4 Go is also available at £795 +VAT.
