Dometic is launching the versatile new WAECO CRX refrigerator – the first and only marine refrigerator with a removable freezer compartment.
For the first time, a marine refrigerator with freezer compartment can be easily transformed into a larger capacity fridge-only unit or the temperature of the entire unit can be reduced as low as 17°F (-8°C) to provide a freezer-only unit. The breakthrough design is achieved by the patented removable freezer concept, which enables users to quickly slide out the freezer to adapt the unit as required.

Providing boat owners with a three-in-one cabinet solution, the durable built-in WAECO CRX is available with a newly-designed stainless steel door which features a recessed, full-width door handle and unique dual pin locking mechanism for perfect, secure closing functionality.
The CRX features an innovative flush-mount electronic thermostat control panel, located on the interior side wall where users can easily reach it to make precise soft-touch temperature adjustments. An infrared sensor triggers a bright LED-light system to illuminate the interior. The interior temperature is controlled by a precise Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) sensor.
Ensuring optimum performance and noise reduction, the fridge uses a powerful electronic three-speed variable compressor which adjusts automatically to achieve the required cooling capacity. This ensures fast temperature pull-down time, gentle compressor start-up, maintenance of set temperature and minimal noise.
The robust tube and fin condenser enhances cooling performance, durability and corrosion resistance compared to a wire condenser. The compressor mounting plate is foamed in place to guarantee strong connection of all components.
Saving vital space on smaller boats, a special cut-out design on the back of the 50 and 65 litre models allows the units to be fitted against the vessel’s hull.
The sleek, modern-style WAECO CRX is available with either a stainless steel door or standard door in the following sizes: the 45-litre CRX-50, 57-litre CRX-65, 78-litre CRX-80, 109-litre CRX-110 and 136-litre CRX-140.
