It’s a win, win, win for RYA joining point double commission month

Find out how your club, training centre or organisation can take advantage of this great scheme

It was a case of win, win, win during April as RYA Joining Point members enjoyed double commission for every new member they signed up to RYA membership – win; new members got to enjoy all the great benefits RYA membership affords them – win; and the RYA welcomed new members adding their voice and support to the work of the association – win!

Aigua Sea School in Mallorca introduced a fantastic 25 new members during April earning them £20 commission for every family that signed up, £15 per personal member and £10 for the under 25’s they signed up, with a total of 90 new members signed up to RYA membership over the course of the month, driving RYA membership figures up and over the 105,000 mark.

Duck-2-Water based in Southampton and Sunsail UK also took advantage of double commission month introducing a further 17 new members between them.

We also saw a number of clubs and training centres signing up as new Joining Points during April, both in the UK and overseas, to take advantage of the special double commission promotion and the ongoing benefits of the scheme including Andark Diving and Watersports, Rugby & Daventry Sailing Club, Yorkshire and Humber Boat Training and AquaPlanning based in The Netherlands.

“We wanted to recognise and thank RYA Joining Points for promoting RYA Membership with a special reward. RYA Joining Points do great work encouraging their members and customers to join the RYA and double commission for the month of April is the RYA’s way of saying thank you”, commented Gemma Garrett, RYA Membership Operations Officer.

Kath Scott, Chief Instructor, Compass Sea School commented: “We joined Joining Point a few months ago as many of our students undertake the Powerboat Level 2 course and are keen to get their ICC. We always suggest that our students consider joining the RYA and explain the benefits that brings.

“The joining point materials; posters and ready printed forms have made it much easier and more professional looking for our centre. We’re not sure yet how many students took up the offer during April yet, but our instructors certainly pushed it as much as possible! We’re hoping for some great take up numbers.”

The RYA Joining Point scheme provides a quick and easy way for clubs, training centres and organisations registered as RYA Joining Points to encourage their customers to join the RYA and experience the many great benefits of membership from discounts on products and services, one-to-one boating related advice and support from technical, cruising and legal experts and much more.
