GoFree the digital arm of Navico, global leaders in maritime technology, today launched ‘The Insight Genesis Challenge’, a competition aimed at fishing and boating enthusiasts which rewards the entrants who map the most lakes, inland waterways and coastal waters acres across Europe, while out on the water.
Insight Genesis is an easy-to-use GoFree cloud-based tool that allows boaters to open a free online account, upload sonar logs recorded on Simrad & Lowrance multifunction displays, and download up-to-date, personalized contour maps.
The web based social mapping community, allows users to create and store unlimited maps, which are customisable and adjustable with high-resolution contour lines, depth-transition shading, automatic and manual depth offsets, notes, tags and waypoints.
Free or Premium subscribers can join in the Insight Genesis challenge and can easily start mapping and making their own charts and logs whilst fishing or boating. Once done, users simply enter the competition at www.insightgenesischallenge.com , upload their data logs and by doing so stand the chance of winning a NEW Lowrance HDS Gen3 7” Multi-function chartplotter and fishfinder, along with other cool prizes monthly.

• Use a compatible Lowrance or Simrad unit to collect data
• Record your sonar log to an SD card and upload collected data as “Public” the data from the SD card will automatically be created into a custom map that can be shared with the Insight Genesis online community.
• Finally, the user with the highest public acreage upload that month wins!
