Chatham Aqua Go Mist G2 Performance Sailing Shoes

REVIEW: Chatham Aqua Go Mist G2 Performance Sailing Shoes

Billed as the next evolution in the history of the boat shoe; Chatham’s new Aqua Go Mist G2 is the result of years of design, research and technology.

Designed for use in and around water, it features a midsole with direct drainage holes that will empty the shoe of water within 10 seconds.  In practice, this system works very well and surpasses the usual twin drain holes in the instep.

The upper is made of a 3 ply perforated mesh and woven material which I found kept my feet cool during the day and surprisingly comfortable on a chilly evening.

The Mist G2 is a lightweight shoe with a thinner ‘barefoot’ style sole that grips well due to it’s rubber latex compound.  It was great on slippery decks and pontoons.

The sizing is on the large size so, if in doubt, opt for a size smaller than usual.  Having said that, I didn’t find that the larger size felt too loose.

A great, versatile summer shoe for all aspects of boating, especially if you’re going to be in and out of the water.
