RS Aero UK Winter Serie

RS Aero UK Winter Series

RS Aero UK Winter Series

After a warm and windy autumn winter must be just about here and time for RS Aero’s to plan their winter outings. This season the RS Aero UK Winter Series has been expanded to 9 events. Good geographical spread, but only the best 3 events required for a series result, should encourage sailors to qualify as a large proportion of the UK fleet will only need to travel a reasonable distance once. Again the RS Aero Series uses part of the GJW Direct SailJuice series, together with a few extra gems.

The Series kicks off this weekend in the North at Yorkshire Dales SC with their Brass Monkey on Sunday before heading south to Grafham to the Grafham Grand Prix on Monday. Next up, the Oxford Blue on 2nd Jan is once again the RS Aero Winter Championship following the success last year with 25 entered and enjoying some great racing.

With emerging fleets in both the South West and Rutland the Starcross Steamer, Roadford Rocket and Tiger Trophy are included this year for the first time. Each are great locations and particularly nice for a visit.

Annual favourites, the ever popular and centrally located Bloody Mary and Steve Nicholson Trophy, are in the Series again.

New for 2016 is the RS Aero Spring Championships at Grafham, sharing the venue with the RS800s, to officially declare winter over and look forward to a busy summer schedule!
