Gill is proud to continue its technical clothing partnership with the French premier sailing regatta, Spi Ouest-France,held in the iconic venue of La Trinite sure Mer, for the second year running.
To celebrate the partnership with this great event, which runs from 24th–28th March, Gill will launch a line of bespoke regatta merchandise, which will be available to purchase from the Gill store in the Race Village.
The bespoke regatta clothing features stylish men’s and women’s polo shirts and caps branded with a unique event logo. For the racing out on the water, and as a company that prides itself on designing clothing to fit the needs of competitive sailors, Gill is delighted to be presenting the Gill Cup to a victorious racing team of the IRC2 class.
Bryan Stewart, Sales Director at Gill, comments: “The Spi Ouest-France regatta is an iconic one, with hundreds of teams coming together over the Easter weekend. Here at Gill we love this event, with a huge array of boats and potentially sailing conditions, our technical gear really gets a chance to perform out on the race course.”
Régine Ermel, Director of Public Relations for Ouest-France, added: “Gill joined the Spi Ouest Franceregatta in 2015, and we are delighted! Spi Ouest-France,the first race of monohulls in Europe, brings together more than 400 boats in competition with about 2500 to 3000 sailors.
The image of Gill is very rewarding for our event because they make quality products tailored to the regatta. This English brand is already recognized in France, and a number of our crews are also equipped in Gill. Therefore, an association between the Ouest-France newspaper and Gill is perfectly successful, and we hope that it continues.”
Gill will be showcasing its technical sailing innovations for 2016 at Spi Ouest-France. Leading the product range is the all-new KB1 Keel Boat Racer range – the ultimate in performance racing sailing clothing, and perfect for the conditions at Easter in La Trinite.
The brand will have a strong brand and retail presence within the Race Village, with a full line up of technical kit for all aspects of sailing.
