Torqeedo, the market leader in the marine electric engine industry, has unveiled TorqBoard – an innovative, high-powered motorised stand-up paddleboard (SUP) motor – at this year’s London Boat Show, in association with one of its distributors, Golden Arrow Marine.
TorqBoard uses Torqeedo’s ever-popular Ultralight 403 electric engine, which is perfect for use on SUPs to offer an equivalent of 1HP. The Golden Arrow-designed universal mount is compatible with most stand-up paddleboards, with additional safety features including a prop-guard and kill-cord.
Torqeedo’s electric engines are completely waterproof which is essential in the event of capsizing or falling in the water. They are also very environmentally friendly, without the risk of water or noise pollution – common problem for diesel or petrol engines.

The lightweight drive system has capability of travelling up to 10km/h and covering 40km, whilst only weighing 7kg – ensuring the paddleboard is lightweight yet powerful.
TorqBoard will retail at £1,950 (including VAT).
