Sika is set to return to the 40th Beaulieu Boatjumble as the headline sponsor for Practical Boat Owner’s ‘Ask the Experts Live.’ On Sunday 23rd April boating enthusiasts will visit the magnificent Beaulieu Estate for the annual Beaulieu Boatjumble. Taking part for the third consecutive year in Practical Boat Owner’s popular ‘Ask the Experts Live!’ event, Sika UK will offer invaluable advice to DIY enthusiasts on the use of marine sealants and adhesives.
Sika UK’s technical services expert, Gareth Ross will give a practical demonstration on how Sika’s range of sealants can be used for window bonding. He will go through the correct procedure for bonding plastic windows, including cleaning, priming, adhesive selection plus his top DIY tips for boat owners. Gareth said, “After last year’s popularity it is fantastic to return to Beaulieu. ‘Ask the Experts Live!’ is a great platform to engage with boat owners and demonstrate how to use Sika Marine products correctly and with confidence.”
Practical Boat Owner magazine will host the ‘Ask the Experts Live!’ in association with Sika on Sunday 23rd April from 10am to 4pm, with an end of the day Q&A panel from 4pm- 4:30pm. The day will consist of an array of demonstrations from industry experts including DIY rigging checks; a sail trim master class and an introduction to how to read the skies from the Met Office’s Penny Tranter. In addition to this, the RNLI community safety team will return to host a free lifejacket clinic throughout the day.
