Leading global sailing brand, Helly Hansen, announces it will make its return to the London Boat Show, from Friday 6 January 2017, launching its innovative summer 2017 collection alongside its new ‘Alive since 1877’ brand platform – inspired by the brand’s relationship with more than 50,000 professionals living and breathing in Helly Hansen apparel.
Visitors to the Helly Hansen stand will be able to “Feel Alive” and experience the exhilaration of being on board one of the UK’s fastest racing boats, Concise 10 with Team Concise. Using 360-degree filmed reality, Samsung’s VR headsets and Samsung S7 smartphone, visitors will be kitted out in Helly Hansen’s technical Aegir Ocean Jacket, before joining Helly Hansen ambassador, Ned Collier-Wakefield, Team Concise’s Skipper, to truly experience the rush of racing at up to 40 knots in the Solent.
Taking inspiration from Ægir, the Norse God of the sea, Helly Hansen expands its Ocean Racing line for 2017. The updates include highly technical pieces for racers who desire complete protection, more mobility and versatility while working the boat. Offering ease of movement, more streamlined designs and better breathability, the Ægir Race Jacket is the perfect choice for deep water races lasting several days. Smaller pockets and zippers create a sleek and lighter design with all the high-vis and Solas details you’d expect from a race jacket.
Teaming up with Marine Super Store Ltd at the show, this will be the first time Helly Hansen is exhibiting at the London Boat Show in six years.
