Leading marine system specialist Fischer Panda UK has announced at Seawork that its range of generators from the new Panda 4000s Neo up to the next generation iSeries Panda 45i genset have successfully passed type approval by members of the IACS (International Association of Classification Societies) board.
In securing the certification, the generators are verified to have fulfilled all classification society requirements, affirming the high quality and reliability of Fischer Panda’s renowned compact, sound-insulated diesel generators.
The IACS type approval includes certifications from globally-recognised organisations including Lloyd’s Register, Bureau Veritas and DNV GL, as well as several country-specific bodies, providing a reliable way to demonstrate the quality of Fischer Panda’s products and their components.

The full type approval classification achieved by Fischer Panda is as follows: Lloyd’s Register, Bureau Veritas, Croatian Register of Shipping/ Austrian Veritas (Hrvatski Registar Brodova), Registro Italiano Navale, American Bureau of Shipping, DNV GL, Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK), Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (Российский морской регистр судоходства), Polish Register of Shipping (Polski Rejestr Statków), China Classification Society, Korean Register of Shipping and Indian Register of Shipping.
The certification covers the new fixed-speed Panda 4000s Neo, as well as the Panda 5000i Neo, both using the in-house designed water-cooled FPE320 single cylinder diesel engine. The 45i iSeries genset represents one of the larger models in the expanding variable speed range.
