The ODEO Distress Flare is the next generation of Electronic Visual Distress Signal Device (eVDSD). At only 150g it is perfect for personal use to store in a pocket and a great choice for sailing, kayaking, hiking, mountaineering and even diving with its 50 meter IP68 rating.
It’s incredibly simple to operate so if a person falls overboard they can be seen for at least three nautical miles and even up to six nautical miles if conditions are right. The new Odeo Distress Flare’s powerful red beam will last for nine hours at full illumination, powered by 4 x AAL91 lithium batteries.
The latest model in the new generation of non-pyrotechnic flares, the Odeo has no naked light or heat so it is completely safe. Illumination features include dual function flicker and SOS strobe. It also has infra-red signal for night time search and rescue.
