Interform introduces MarinePods at Southampton Boat Show

Interform Marine will present its own range of UK manufactured instrument pods at the Southampton Boat Show in Ocean Hall. The MarinePod range enables owners to upgrade their navigation electronics and improve aesthetics of the cockpit helm station by incorporating the relevant MarinePod to house a new chartplotter, AIS display or instruments. MarinePods are extremely versatile and in particular are the only instrument pods available for upgrading navigation electronics for Bavaria sailing yachts due to the Bavaria’s unusual rail size and console design.

Interform Marine is also one of the UK’s most innovative manufacturers of custom designed vacuum formed plastic mouldings, working with a number of leading boat builders redesigning existing GRP manufactured components and replacing them with vacuum formed reproductions. Interform has developed a variety of vacuum formed parts for boat builders, considerably reducing build and development times when compared to the GRP components they are replacing. Acrylic capped ABS is commonly used for the vacuum formed parts, as it is of a lighter weight than GRP with excellent durability and a fine finish.

Where acrylic capped ABS is specified, the savings in development and production times over GRP translate into a considerable cost reduction.
