Racing any sailboat is a demanding sport, and the last thing you need to be thinking about on the race course is the gear that you have on. So, in designing the new KB1 Racer we demanded the highest performance fabrics, quality of construction and a product that just works. Our meticulous design process has resulted in a product that is 5% lighter, yet 50% more durable, not to mention 10% more breathable than its predecessor.
Using an extremely tough 4Dot™, 3layer waterproof and breathable fabric the KB1 Racer protects you. Then the specific ergonomic fit is engineered to move with you, allowing fast paced travel around the boat and ultimately around the course.
In any race boat suit, the trousers are even more important than the top. Our new design is revolutionary as it is both a salopette “over-the-shoulder design” with plenty of stretch, but can also be adjusted to a wide range of body lengths with our unique shoulder adjustment system, and there is additional flexibility with adjustment at the waist. A new tacticians pocket has been added in a clear see-through material for course notes or even touch-screen devices. Tough re-enforced fabric –tested to the highest standards, protects hi-wear areas from impact and abrasion.
For the jacket and smock in the KB Racer line-up there are plenty of design features. A re-engineered hood that you will hardly notice when it is stowed away in the collar, but that has an excellent fit that gives you the protection and adjustment when you need it. The new system keeps the hood firmly in place even at really high speed and in strong breeze.
