echoMAP CHIRP Series (RRP £299 to £969)

The echoMAP CHIRP Series is a new line of affordable chartplotter/sonar combination units with built-in CHIRP traditional sonar and CHIRP DownVüTM and SideVü, the clearest scanning sonar on the water.

The new echoMAP CHIRP series offers support for Garmin PanoptixTM transducers, and all units come standard with Garmin QuickdrawTM Contours, a new software feature that lets mariners instantly create personalised HD fishing maps with 1-foot contours on any body of water. The series include full UK and Ireland charting free of charge and with NMEA® 2000 compatibility1, the new echoMAPs can also receive information from sensors.

Striker Series (RRP £139.99 – £599.99)

The Striker Series is a new line of entry-level fishfinders with CHIRP traditional sonar and CHIRP DownVüTM and SideVü technology as standard, with a built-in high-sensitivity GPS receiver.

Fishermen will now have the ability to not only see fish and structure below the boat, but also to mark fishing hotspots and return to them. With GPS on board, users will also have access to accurate speed over the ground (SOG) information, even at very slow speeds. Raising the standard for fishfinder performance and ease of use, the Striker series is a powerful tool to help inland and coastal anglers find and catch more fish.

Quickdraw™ Contours

Quickdraw™ Contours is a free, easy-to-use software feature that lets mariners instantly create personalised HD fishing maps with 1-foot contours on any body of water. Quickdraw™ Contours results appear instantly on a compatible Garmin sonar-enabled chartplotter.

This software feature will come as standard on the new 2016 echoMAP® CHIRP products and will be available as a free software update for all other echoMAP and many GPSMAP® series products. It can be used with any depth transducer, including Garmin Panoptix™, HD-ID™, DownVü, and NMEA 2000 transducers.

GPS 73 (RRP £139.99)

GPS 73 is a new low-cost marine handheld designed for mariners who want a simple, rugged, and reliable navigation solution. This easy-to-use handheld is packed with marine-specific features like man overboard (MOB), marine alarms, route planning, and navigation. New SailAssist has also been added, offering sailing-inspired features like virtual starting line, race countdown times, distance to start line, speed history graph, and tack assist.

Panoptix PS21 and PS60 (RRP £879.99 and £3,079.99)

Garmin will showcase two updates to its revolutionary all-seeing sonar technology – Panoptix. Panoptix PS21 is a new transducer optimised for a trolling motor, allowing fishermen to add the most attractive feature of Panoptix, LiveVü Forward, to a compatible Garmin GPSMAP® or echoMAP® CHIRP chartplotter to see real-time moving sonar images ahead of and around their boat.

Panoptix is now also available in a thru-hull installation – PS60 – making it an ideal sonar solution for coastal fishermen with larger boats. With the PS60 Panoptix thru-hull down transducer, fishermen can see real-time moving sonar images below the boat.

2016 CHIRP Transducers (RRP £119.99 – £599.99)

The new transducers offer sonar technologies and increased flexibility in installation, as well as the first in-hull CHIRP transducer. Compatible with the new Garmin Striker™ series as well as the echoMAP™ CHIRP and GPSMAP® series product lines and the GSD 25 black-box sonar, the new transducers are available with various configurations of traditional CHIRP, CHIRP DownVü and CHIRP SideVü sonar technologies.
