Cowes Week Ltd today announced new sponsorship opportunities for brands looking to align with the Cowes Week regatta and capitalise on the next phase in the event’s development. Current Title Sponsor Aberdeen Asset Management will step down after the 2015 event, providing the rare opportunity for a new organisation to partner with the event as Title Sponsor. In addition, CWL are introducing new Presenting Partner and Product Endorsement packages to complement the existing Supporting Sponsor tier.
Aberdeen Asset Management’s successful title sponsorship is now in its fifth year, and Martin Gilbert, CEO of Aberdeen Asset Management, said: “We’re very proud of our association with Cowes Week; it’s a fantastic regatta that has delivered huge benefits to the Aberdeen brand. We’re committed to supporting CWL in the development of the event and are discussing ways in which we can remain involved with Cowes Week in the future.
Peter Dickson, Chairman of CWL, added: “Over the last five years, Aberdeen has worked with us to deliver a range of enhancements to the regatta that have delivered significant value to their sponsorship and put the event in great shape as we look ahead to the next chapter in Cowes Week’s evolution. Our focus now is to build on that success with new commercial partners and we are grateful to Aberdeen for their continuing support as we search for new sponsors”.
Supporting the Title Sponsor opportunity at Cowes Week, the new Presenting Partner sponsorship level announced today is designed for companies that wish to make significant investment in return for a tailored package of benefits that provides a tangible return on investment. To maintain exclusivity, only three Presenting Partner packages are being made available. Meanwhile, the introduction of a new Product Endorsement package is geared towards small and fledgling organisations that would like to showcase a particular product or service with a targeted audience.
Commenting on the new packages, Kate Johnson, Commercial and Marketing Director at CWL, said: “In discussions with prospective sponsors, we identified the need for additional opportunities beyond those offered by our Title and Supporting Sponsor tiers. The new sponsorship packages will allow a broader range of companies to partner with the event at a level that suits them & provides the unique benefits of an official association with Cowes Week.”
