The life of legendary waterman Jack O’Neill, father of the wetsuit founder of the O’Neill brand, was honoured spectacularly in a worldwide series of memorial paddle outs.
Jack’s legacy was celebrated on a global scale on July 9th with a historic worldwide ceremony. If the ultimate purpose of life is to love and be loved, then Jack succeeded immeasurably by building a family across the world that he loved and loved him back, across every ocean.
From Santa Cruz to Sydney, thousands of surfers paid tribute to the life & adventures of the late Jack O’Neill with a giant ‘circle of love’. Across 5 continents and more than 10 countries, the symbolic memorial paddle outs spanned all corners of the globe – including Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Netherlands, South Africa, UK, and last but not least – Santa Cruz, USA.
