Ocean Safety, specialists in the worldwide supply, distribution, service and hire of marine safety equipment, has appointed two new servicing centres in Spain.
Náutica Alfacs, whose branches are located on mainland Spain’s east coast at Sant Carles de la Ràpita and Velamar, on the island of Ibiza, have both been fully approved to service the Ocean Safety ranges of liferafts and lifejackets, following intense 4-day training programmes given to their personnel at Ocean Safety’s UK headquarters.
Náutica Alfacs, a family run business, has specialised in both commercial and leisure marine products and services since 1969, while Velamar has been a well-established marine safety equipment supplier since 1988. Being certified as an Ocean Safety Approved Service Centre means that the companies now join an international network of agents which carry out regular servicing to Ocean Safety’s range of SOLAS approved liferafts, lifejackets and other safety equipment used by the commercial maritime sector.
Ocean Safety’s Steve Bockett, who provided the servicing training, comments “Náutica Alfacs and Velamar are both highly experienced and specialised marine servicing centres. By adding Ocean Safety products and services to their portfolios, these companies can widen their options for offering customers a choice of competitive safety packages. In addition they strengthen and improve our ability to provide quality servicing support to our customers worldwide.”
The Spanish Approved Service Centres will supply and maintain Ocean Safety equipment to a range of customers including commercial boat builders, fishing fleets and leisure sailors and motor boaters.
