Mercator Media Limited (Mercator) has agreed to purchase the Marine & Coastal Civil Engineering Expo (M&CCE Expo), from the Prysm Group. M&CCE Expo, Europe’s leading event showcasing the latest equipment and techniques in marine civil engineering and construction, is to co-locate with Seawork, Europe’s leading event showcasing the latest equipment and techniques in marine civil engineering and construction
Mercator is a B2B media company of over 30 years standing, serving the marine business with events, magazines and online. Mercator publishes the pan-European commercial marine magazine Maritime Journal, and produces Europe’s market leading Seawork exhibition, now in its 22nd year.
M&CCE Expo 2019 will be co-located with Seawork, Europe’s largest commercial marine exhibition. Situated exclusively in its own dedicated exhibition arena, M&CCE will keep its own brand and identity and will run concurrently with the three days of Seawork. Andrew Webster, Chief Executive of Mercator commented, ‘This is great news for visitors and exhibitors to both Seawork and M&CCE, with real synergies between the two. There is a big overlap in content and business for people involved in marine construction, from harbourmasters to consulting engineers to operations managers and anyone in vessel and marine equipment deployment.’
Managing Director at Prysm FDE Ltd, James Berryman, said, “This is fantastic news for M&CCE Expo and a vital stepping stone in the growth of the exhibition, we wanted to be certain that the event continued to evolve in the right way, and Mercator Media are renowned for delivering high quality events, media and content in the marine sector, so we are confident that there is nobody better equipped to develop it in the right way. The expertise and investment that Mercator can offer the exhibition can only be an excellent thing for the future of the event.”
M&CCE Expo 2018 saw Managing Directors, CEOs, Project Managers, Lead Engineers and more attend from industry-renowned organisations from countries such as America, Brazil, India, Russia and South Korea.
As a part of the M&CCE Expo, the M&CCE Innovation and Project of the Year awards recognise the industry’s most outstanding example of innovation through equipment or service, and the marine civil engineering project that stands out for its scale and impressive nature. Chosen by a judging panel comprised of some of the biggest industry voices, the two prestigious awards will now become part of the European Commercial Marine Awards (ECMAs), to be presented at an enhanced awards ceremony on the first night of the Seawork exhibition.
The M&CCE Expo 2019 will run from 11-13 June 2019 at Mayflower Park, Southampton UK.
