Dometic Marine delivers three-day technical training course for dealers

More than 50 OEM support dealers from across Europe and the Middle East receive expert tuition on Dometic watermakers and range of air conditioning equipment

Dometic Marine held a successful intensive three-day training course last week for more than 50 of the company’s OEM support dealers to provide technical and servicing instruction on its new watermakers and a range of air-conditioning equipment.

Maintaining its commitment to supporting customers with fully-trained sales and service teams across the world, Dometic experts were on hand to lead the specialist classes and provide the latest practical and theoretical knowledge about some of the company’s key products.

Dealer technicians from across Europe and the Middle East learned about the Dometic Sea Xchange and Spot Zero reverse osmosis system watermakers, as well as self-contained and direct expansion air conditioning and chilled water air conditioning systems.

With Dometic expanding its presence in the fresh water and sea water reverse osmosis systems marketplace, the visiting dealers were advised about the installation, operation, benefits and after-sales servicing for the new range of recently-launched watermakers. They were also taught about all aspects of Dometic’s established Cruisair and Marine Air air-conditioning systems, chosen by manufacturers across the world.

Course leaders included US-based Dometic Reverse Osmosis Systems National Account Manager Joe Pinto, a national authority on fresh water and sea water reverse osmosis systems; Julien Le Feuvre, Head of Marine OEM – EMEA; Paul Hickinbotham, Director EMEA – Sales and Administrations & Commercial Division; and Steve Morris, Director EMEA – Technical and Sales Application Division.

Official certification was awarded to the attendees following the technical courses, which were held at the Dometic UK base in Blandford.

Dometic’s Julien Le Feuvre commented: “The quality of our sales and service personnel and the extent of our global support network is extremely important to us which is why we have committed the time and resources to regular training courses for our OEM and aftermarket dealers. Dometic has a well-earned reputation of training and investing in our technical dealers so that they can fit, service and advise about a broad range of equipment.

“I was really pleased with this week’s training course which has imparted valuable knowledge and experience to a large number of important dealers which they will take back to their businesses and ultimately use for the benefit of our customers.”

Dometic Marine’s extensive product range includes air conditioning, watermakers, engine room ventilation, sanitation, refrigeration and galley equipment from premium brands Marine Air, Condaria, Cruisair, SeaLand and WAECO, as well as its own Dometic brand.
