The Sea Cloud II cruise from 23rd October 2015 to 2nd November 2015 sails from La Valletta/Malta to Malaga/Spain. The first travel destination is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Syracuse in eastern Sicily, older than Rome and rich in culture and history. The tour takes the guests on a scenic route out of the city and down the slopes between lemon and orange groves. The following day Sea Cloud II leaves for Lipari, the largest of the Aeolian Islands. The pretty streets of the old town are best explored on foot. The cruise continues to Palermo, a city marked by numerous peoples. The second bike trip leaves from here to discover the magnificent out of town cultural landscapes. The bustling streets of the old town of Palermo can be enjoyed in the afternoon. There follows a relaxing day at sea under sail before the Windjammer Lady reaches Cagliari/Sardinia. After a morning in Nora, a Phoenician archaeological site, guests will cycle along the idyllic Sardinian coast and its cork oak, scrub and oleander adorned slopes. During another sailing day, simply watching the sailing manoeuvres on board is the best enjoyment for many guests. The Balearic Islands of Majorca and Ibiza are already in sight. During an easy hike you will see some of Majorca’s pristine natural heritage. On Ibiza a visit to the old town with its impressive fortress, another UNESCO World Heritage Site on this trip. And finally Sea Cloud II billows her sails once again and travels anti-clockwise to end her journey in Malaga/Spain.
This trip on Sea Cloud II can be booked either as a normal sailing trip or as a bike tour. The starting price for the sailing trip is € 3895 pp. in a double cabin. The surcharge for the bike and tour package is € 795 pp. and includes all guided cycling and hiking tours on Lipari and Mallorca. Similarly, the city tours, excursions and sightseeing in Valletta, Syracuse, Lipari, Palermo and Palma de Mallorca and entrance fees are included. During the trip, high quality “terranova” tour bikes and a full maintenance service are available as well as a “terranova” tour guide. In addition there is a support vehicle, with room for passengers, complete with bike-trailer. Of course there are regular breaks for refreshments and picnics.
