3Si Maritime Professional of the Year Award nominations open

The organisers of Seawork International are excited to announce the nomination process open for this year’s 3Si Maritime Professional of the Year Award (MPY).

In 2014, Seawork announced the inaugural launch of the MPY Award. This prestigious annual award celebrates the passion and commitment delivered by the very best that the commercial maritime industry has to offer, with a coveted prize being awarded to the winner during the Seawork Network & Awards Evening sponsored by ZF Marine on Tuesday 16 June.

With the nomination process now open, this is the time for the marine industry to put forward their brightest and best professionals for consideration – nominations will close on 27 May 2015 and can be made via the Seawork website: www.seawork.com where further details can be found.

Once the nomination process closes, a judging panel with carefully chose a short list of four which will then be presented to the exhibitors and visitors of Seawork via social media in early June. The 3Si MPY winner will be the person who receives the most ‘likes’ on Facebook.

2014’s winner, Luke Webster of PM Shipping was nominated by Patricia Prado of Blue Sky Brokers. Patricia said: “I have collaborated with Luke Webster for the past four years and he has proved to be a very efficient, hardworking and resourceful person. He has helped me to develop my business further by providing excellent service and competitive prices for my Transport requests.”

Taking place at The Vestry in Southampton Centre, at 1830 – 2030 on 16 June, other awards to be presented during the evening will be the six winners of the Innovations Showcase Awards as well as the Lifetime Achievement Award.
