To open the International Paris Boat Show, the 6th Nautic SUP Paris Crossing is, more than ever before, the discipline’s seminal meet, and for this latest edition, the number of competitors has been extended to 500! Last year, the 400 places up for grabs were all snapped up in just a matter of hours… Get to your keyboards everyone; the 2015 registrations are about to open!
On Sunday 6 December at 08:00am, the first race will set off as usual from alongside the Bibliothèque Nationale de France (National Library of France) and finish at the Javel-Bas quayside with a pro course spanning 13.5km and a Leisure course spanning 11km. Next up, the competitors will head over to Hall 1 at the Nautic in the afternoon so as to compete in a second race on an extended indoor pool.
For this latest edition those competing in the Leisure category will continue their bid for supremacy in a 2nd race through a series of thirty-second duels. However, for the Pro category the rule has evolved since it’s a “France against the rest of the world” relay, which will serve as justice of the peace. Each of the teams will comprise 10 competitors involving those who ranked best in the morning race.
From the quayside, in the chill of morning or tucked up in the warm at the Porte de Versailles, visitors to the Nautic will be able to witness a unique competition with the pride of the world’s SUP protagonists taking the starring role.
Registrations for the Nautic SUP Paris Crossing will open tomorrow, Tuesday 15 September 2015 at 10:00 a.m :
