Castle Marinas Ltd, owners and operators of seven marinas throughout the UK, is delighted to
announce the recent appointment of a new Marina Manager for its coastal marina in Portsmouth Harbour, Royal Clarence Marina.
Robert started life as a shipwright in the Dockyard, then set up his own motorcycle business and raced motocross at a championship level and continued his speed fix through racing Hurricane 5.9, twin trapeze catamarans at National and European level.
Slowing down slightly, Rob and his wife now cruise in a Jeanneau Sunrise 35 called ‘Ladytron’ and are active members of the Dolphin Cruising Club and the Hardway Sailing Club in Gosport.
Robert Says of his role as Marina Manager at Royal Clarence Marina:-
“I absolutely love the job and cannot believe my luck that I am able to combine my passion for the sea with my work. There is not a day that goes by when I don’t look at the view out of my office window and smile.
Royal Clarence has a great deal to offer its berth holders and visitors alike, but what I want is for everyone who comes here to think that it’s greatest assets are its staff! I aim to offer the best possible service and look after customers boats as if they were my own.”
Robert Jezard (pictured) takes over from Peter Wright, who is retiring after many years in the marina business.
Royal Clarence Marina is one of the most sheltered and deep water basins in Southern England. Perfectly located close to the Portsmouth Harbour entrance, Royal Clarence has 180 fully serviced pontoon berths ranging from 11 to 18 metres in length.
