Throughout October, the RYA is once again offering double commission to all clubs, training centres and marine organisations signed up to the RYA Joining Point programme.
The Joining Point scheme provides a quick and easy way for those organisations registered as RYA Joining Points to spread the word about RYA membership and encourage their members and customers to join the association.
“We ran the double commission offer back in April and 43 of our registered Joining Points took part earning nearly £1,000 between them. These organisations are vital in helping us grow our membership base, which in turn supports the work does in ensuring legislators, regulators and other authorities understand and take account of recreational boating activity. Membership funds are also reinvested in to the organisation to help with participation, cruising and government affairs and performance activities”, explained, Conor Swift, RYA Membership Development Manager.
As well as supporting our lobbying activities there are many other great benefits of RYA membership including access to specialist cruising, legal and technical boating advice from our in-house experts, exclusive offers and discounts from over 70 member reward partners, helping members keep down the cost of their boating; as well as all the latest news and information.
Throughout October registered Joining Points will receive double the standard commission values of the scheme, receiving £20 commission for every family membership or £15 for every personal membership they sign up. The commission can then be fed back in to their organisation. In 2017 the top performing Joining Point earnt £1,297.50 in commission for their organisation.

Existing RYA Joining Points don’t need to do anything to register for this offer, the double commission will automatically be applied to their account in the November payment run. All they need to do is tell their customers about the benefits of RYA membership and get them to sign up; it’s that simple.
Existing Joining Points requiring more promotional materials should email [email protected] quoting their Joining Point reference number or the name of their club or organisation to receive further membership forms.
Each Joining Point pack provides the club or centre with the possibly of earning up to £1,000 in commission, up to £2,000 during the October special promotion, depending upon the number of members signed up. Commission is paid on a quarterly basis and the amount depends upon they type of membership signed up to.
Packs contain:
- A3 and A4 posters
- Membership Leaflets containing a pre-paid post application form, pre-printed with your Joining Point reference number
- Quality leaflet holders
- Promotional stickers
- “How to” Joining Point Swatch containing everything there is to know about RYA membership and Joining Point
