After my conversion to deck shoes a few years ago with the excellent Chatham GB2012, I was looking forward to trying out a new pair.
The Docksider II G2 Hand-Stitched are from Chatham’s G2 range which come with a two year guarantee.
They are hand stitched on the last and the quality of finish is excellent, as you’d expect.
The deck shoes came in a great colour. It’s a sort of matte clay that is certainly unusual. I liked it.
They look and feel slightly smarter than the GB2012’s and, I feel, are more suited to relaxed afternoons on a yacht or, as the name suggests, on the dockside. The soles are slightly less springy but are still very comfortable.
All in all, a classic summer deck shoe, worthy of a look.
